Anthony M.: If there’s one thing I’ve learned about social media it’s that the world is a very small place. I came across Anthony circa 2010 when we were working on two different political campaigns. We didn’t formally “know” each other, but we would run into one another at various functions throughout the election that put us at a level of acquaintances at best. A few years later, I went into one of my favorite menswears stores in Knoxville (Coachman Clotheries) and ran into Anthony who happened to work at the store. Somehow, he had come across my blog in the interim and we ended up chatting for half an hour or so catching up on what we had both been up to.
Since I first met Anthony nearly five years ago, he’s always had an impeccable eye for menswear style. Below, nearly everything he’s wearing is either bespoke or from small boutiques he’s come across throughout his travels around the world. While he doesn’t have a formal blog, his Tumblr has great outtakes of his personal style that reminds me of an “International Southerner” – if that even makes sense. Regardless of his style label, Anthony is well versed in menswear making him a great addition to the Proper Profiles Series.
“In so many words, I like the idea that classic concepts are always in style. Classic Tailoring makes one always look current and in step – without succombing to following a trend. I want to invest in items whether it be attire or other necessities in life that were proper twenty years ago, now, or twenty years from now.”
