Catherine L.: Where do I start? She's fabulous and I'm not sure what I love more - her flawless style or warm personality that came out from the moment I met her. While her outfits are always bold, her characterization is best summed up with the word modest. After shooting in the Meatpacking District and walking part of the High Line, we grabbed coffee at The Standard Grill so I could hear her story. Catherine's grown up across three continents and has settled down (for now) in New York City. She describes her style as "head-turning and memorable" largely inspired by the only woman who could out-do her in the wardrobe department: her mother. Catherine's been reached out to a number of times to be photographed and has declined them all - a testament to her reserved persona and general shyness towards the camera. The only reason she agreed to me is because of a mutual friend in Paris (and previous feature) - Theo. Catherine might be my favorite profile to date so you can expect to see within this series again. Below are our out-takes from a cool morning in September.
"I describe my style as memorable, head-turning, high-fashion that's been influenced by my mother. She serves as my source of inspiration and opinion to the point where she's the first I call whenever I'm looking for advice on what to wear. Growing up on three different continents made my wardrobe versatile and unique based on the diverse cultures, environments, and people that I've experienced over the years."
