Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving: It's a personal favorite.  My family regularly travels for major holidays since we don't have any immediate family in Tennessee, but we're always home for Thanksgiving.  It's nice to have something a bit more low-key without dozens of cousins, aunts, and uncles peppering you with questions.

We all "contribute" to Thanksgiving in our own ways and since the only time I venture into the kitchen is make myself a cocktail, my duty has always been the table.  I posted a picture on Instagram and figured I throw up half a dozen others on here for those that are interested.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I've always been a fan of menus at formal dinners.  It serves no purpose, but I think it's a nice gesture as it reminds everyone how much the cook spent on the whole spread (Thanks Mom).

I've never been a fan of this china set (Yea...I rolled my eyes at that statement too), but it's my mother's mother and hasn't been used for ages.  There's a ton of color going on within the plates (purple, red, yellow, and green) and so I used a collection of bulky/chunky flowers to draw all the colors together.

Cranberries help tie in the red in the plates and the heavy linen napkins keep things more #lowkey...even though everyone at the table will be pretty high strung.

A long spring of rosemary (mainly because it'll be thrown into the G&T I bring to then table.)

Apothecary jars that I used to shove in all the additional baby's breath I had on hand.  Also, can we talk about how disgusting the name of that flower is?  Someone needs to give a name change.
